After further consideration of this post, why isn't continuous glucose monitoring made available to everyone and not just to diabetics? I believe, this feedback would assist everyone in cutting back on their consumption of unhealthy food and drink and choices. In lieu of that, I will explore the various offerings mentioned here and see how accurate they truly are. I remember back when they first introduced fitness trackers. Folks thought they all accurately measured "steps walked" when in fact, with some of them, all you had to do was wave your arm around and it clocked "steps". I'm looking for accurate measurement, as is anyone who is putting in the time and research to improve their lifestyle and longevity.

Most of these health gadgets are improving with each new version and update. They serve as valuable tools for identifying problems before they become serious. I use continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) extensively in the management of metabolic diseases like prediabetes and diabetes, and find them especially helpful for early detection and aggressive treatment. In this regard, CGMs are an excellent tool.

I would agree CGMs are excellent tools, and though not prediabetic myself, I would actually wear one if available. I suspect their is a large number of people walking around with insulin resistance and fatty livers that have not been diagnosed. I think if the masses understood what the body does with sugar once it is no longer able to process it correctly for energy...and instead, that sugar goes directly to fat...they might be more vigilant about the sugars, simple carbs, etc. they consume. My interest would be to monitor my bodies insulin spike based on what foods I eat at given moment.

Thank you for responding Dr. Manchireddy.
