Hi Ruhi, thank you for your comments. Yes, South Asians carry excess melanin and need more exposure than white counterparts to get Vitamin D. Our outdoors exposure are minimal due to various factors, technology, pollution, indoor lifestyle choices etc.
Supplements definitely needed to boost up the levels but the effect from Sun is more powerful and long lasting.
