A wonderfully thought provoking piece. I am encouraged that the healthier, longevity-focused lifestyle we follow, is the right path, even without scientific proof...yet. Although we were never unhealthy in our lifestyle, I often wish we had the benefit of today's longevity research earlier in our lives as I believe it makes, and has already made, a difference. Thank you for sharing.

I give you tremendous credit for trying "to spread the word." What I find most disturbing is how few people truly understand how our food choices sabotage our health. Not enough is said or explained so people recognize that rapid absorption of sugars AND simple carbs like bread, pasta rice, and alcohol causes glucose spikes and insulin surges, promoting visceral fat accumulation and insulin resistance. Over time, these changes can lead to metabolic dysfunction, elevated blood pressure, high cholesterol, and chronic inflammation—key drivers of both type 2 diabetes and heart disease, I know I sound like a nutrition nut, but people really don't understand what that all means to their health. So frustrating. Our population could be so much healthier.
